Things are changing for our CAPS beat, Beat 1724
The good news is that our beat meeting now will be held every month, instead of every other month.
The trade-off is the meeting no longer will be at Horner Park. Instead, it will be at the 17th District police station, 4650 N. Pulaski.
The meeting day is moving, to the third Wednesday of each month, and the time is moving to 6:30 p.m.
Finally, our beat meeting will be held in conjunction with Beats 1722 and 1723, the beats adjacent to ours, in a so-called ‘sector’ meeting. The hope is that by holding sector meetings, there will be more shared information and a more coordinated response by the neighborhoods.
These changes are being done on a trial basis, so please participate and let the CAPS coordinators know your opinion.
Next meeting: Wednesday, Jan. 21, 6:30 p.m. at the 17th District Station 4650 N. Pulaski Rd., in the community room.
