Overnight last night, several buildings in our area were tagged with obvious gang graffiti. We could use your help submitting the removal requests and reporting the affected buildings.
If you could please take a few minutes today to help report the graffiti, we’d greatly appreciate it. Here’s how:
- If you have a smartphone, download the free Chicago Works app (iOS and Android).
- Take a photo of the graffiti and note the address.
- Use the Chicago Works app to report the graffiti to 311.
OR
You can also report it online at http://311request.cityofchicago.org/reports/list_services (click Graffiti Removal). - Once you have submitted your 311 request, you will get an email with a Service Request number. Forward the email (and any extra photos you took)
TO: CAPS.017district@chicagopolice.org
CC: alderman@33rdward.org
33rdwardss@gmail.com
You may also simply call 311 to report the graffiti.
Reminder: Never post pictures of graffiti online (like on Facebook or Everyblock). By doing so, you are giving the graffiti artists a larger audience and are helping encourage more graffiti and even gang retaliation.
Thank you Neighbors!
Sincerely,
Gretchen
